Fireline Medic

Seasonal / On-Call / Contract • $25–$45/hr, depending on certification level, assignment, experience, and qualifications

All Hazards Response is seeking Fireline Medics to support wildfire medical operations in rugged, remote, and dynamic field environments. Assignments may include incident base camps, spike camps, remote access points, staging areas, mobile medical trailers, crew support locations, or areas near active wildfire operations.

Fireline Medics provide professional medical support to firefighters, incident personnel, and assigned crews while operating within established incident management structures. This role requires strong situational awareness, physical readiness, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work in smoky, hot, remote, or austere conditions.

Typical responsibilities may include firefighter rehab, injury and illness assessment, basic or advanced treatment within scope of practice, vitals monitoring, medical documentation, equipment checks, coordination with incident medical staff, communication with team leadership, and escalation or transfer of care when appropriate.

Candidates should be dependable, field-ready, team-oriented, and comfortable working long operational periods in changing environments. Wildland fire experience, remote medical experience, and familiarity with ICS/NIMS are strongly preferred.

Certifications

  • Required: EMT or Paramedic / CPR-BLS / Wildland FFT2 / Red Card
  • Preferred: AEMT, ACLS, PALS, ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, ICS 800, S-130, S-190, L-180, wildland fireline medical experience, remote medicine experience, and valid driver's license
